SEO, or Search Engine Optimization!
This is a very good article in Website Magazine about how to decide on this question for your business.
SEO – A Working Definition
SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, can be defined as “understanding the ever-changing rules of search engines so well that you can consistently rank on the first page of search results for every service or product your business offers.”
If you know how frequently search engines change their rules, and how often they shift gears with regard to how they decide to rank websites in their results – you know exactly how difficult it is to maintain a good SEO practice on Google and Bing and other search engines for your business.
Unless you have an employee or marketing department who is on this task week after week, month after month, and year after year, I would say that maintaining proper Search Engine Optimization is impossible for most small businesses. It requires a highly technical and intense set of knowledge and skills to do this job correctly.
This knowledge and skill set keeps getting more complex as the Internet grows – SEO is NOT getting simpler.
But don’t take my word for it: We offer SEO here at the Stanfield Agency, so I am necessarily biased on the subject. Read what Website Magazine has to say.
And after that, once you get an idea of the scope and breadth – and importance – of this ongoing marketing project, give us a call: We can work out a package that is right for your business financially, and which also gets you the best results.
